Carolina Floor Demolition grew from field experience in construction and restoration, where difficult flooring was too often rushed, improvised, or left half-finished for the next crew.

Our team has worked in Raleigh-area homes and job sites since 2016. The company’s focus is precision interior demolition, especially glue-down engineered hardwood and other fully adhered flooring systems that demand the right tools, patience, and understanding of the substrate beneath them.
Owner Jake Saliani’s background spans construction, restoration, and specialty trade work. That perspective matters because floor demolition affects every phase that follows—from mitigation and drying to slab prep, installation schedules, and the homeowner’s experience inside an occupied property.
Equipment follows the problem
We use professional removal equipment and develop proprietary, purpose-built floor-scoring and dust-extraction systems for difficult flooring. The objective is not to make a demolition site look dramatic. It is to remove the right layers efficiently, control the mess, and avoid transferring preventable work to the next trade.

Developed inside the trade

Difficult glue-down engineered hardwood exposes the limits of general demolition equipment quickly. Carolina Floor Demolition develops its own scoring and dust-extraction technology around the conditions our crews encounter in the field.
First, our purpose-built system scores the adhered wood into controlled sections without cutting into the subfloor, while dust extraction captures debris at the cut. Commercial floor-scraping equipment is then used separately to lift the pre-scored sections and keep removal controlled from room to room.
